Are you CHOOSING your life?
You go to work, you take care of your family, you're nice to your friends, but are you CHOOSING to do that? Or is life simply HAPPENING TO YOU? Let's talk....
So much of our life is taken up with routine and responsibility. We have our morning routine -- getting ready for work, getting the kids ready for school -- and off we go to negotiate the day. We come home and we have our home routine. Dinner and then maybe some tv, or reading, or talking with family members.
Perhaps you consider your life good, perhaps you think it isn't. Doesn't matter. The question today is DID YOU CHOOSE IT? If not, then you are WALKING THOUGH LIFE as a non-active participant. So the challenge for today, is actually beginning to CHOOSE.
Today...just today, look at everything you do. Does it really have meaning to you? Is it what you want to do? Does it lead to some personally meaningful goal, like improving your relationship with your spouse, working toward a promotion at work, improving mental and physical health?
Today,....just today, evaluate these meanings. And think about what YOU need to change so that YOU are LIVING YOUR LIFE rather than your life merely living you.

- Ah, the weekend at last!
Thought I'd let all know, that usually I will not be blogging on the weekend. The weekend is a time to "recharge your batteries" and for too long in my life, I tended to work every day. Now I know better.
Taking the opportunity to relax is important to developing a healthy life. So with that...enjoy the weekend!
- Bravo Rep. McKinney: Moments ago she apologized
Approximately noon today, April 6th, 2006, Rep. Cynthia McKinney stood and aplogized for the incident. Although hedging a bit -- "there should have been no physical contact" -- I'll give her that as a face-saving move. But the important part is that SHE APOLOGIZED. She was wrong and further, to play the race card was just plain goofy. So KUDOS to McKinney. No one likes to apologize, but sometimes that's the right thing to do -- and she did it!
